Hollande pledges shake-up of France's government ‘millefeuille'
Mardi 3 juin, le Financial Times citait la Fondation iFRAP et son directeur, Agnès Verdier-Molinié, sur le projet de réforme territoriale du président, François Hollande.
But Ifrap, a think-tank that monitors public administration, already fears he has pulled his punches. It has outlined more radical reforms that would yield up to €25bn in savings by 2022.
Agnès Verdier-Molinié, Ifrap's director, points out Mr Hollande has made no commitment to reduce the number of municipalities, cut the number of those employed in the various layers of local government or reform the prefectures.
“That is how you get the real savings,” she said
